Is an ECO BUILDING GROUP house durable ?
Yes, ECO BUILDING GROUP constructions are sturdy houses, much more stable than standard brick houses. The oldest building made with rigid foam insulation is about 50 years old and does not show even the slightest signs of ageing. Due to the insulation, the concrete core is also reliably protected from the weather elements. And the Neopor that ECO BUILDING GROUP is using now is even better and stronger than years ago
Is it possible to build an ECO BUILDING GROUP house during frost ?
Yes, the material is suitable for winter construction work. Only when the walls are filled with concrete they have to be covered when there is a threat of night frost. The good insulation properties of the ECO BUILDING GROUP blocks and the concrete’s natural heat prevent frost permeating to the concrete core when dried out.
Is it possible to attach items to the walls ?
Yes, of course ! There are different ways to fix objects in all shape and weights. Pictures, lightweight wall shelves and small wall cabinets with standard commercial frame, are screwed into the internal insulation with special ECO BUILDING GROUP screws holding up to 25 kg. For heavy wall cupboards, stair railings, etc. it is best to drill into the concrete area using the appropriate screws.
What about the electrical wiring and water pipes ?
The electric cables are laid into a melted space into the internal insulation with a special hot knife saving the customer costs and time of intensive break works. Water and/or sewage pipes may be put into the casted concrete if desired.
What kinds of documents plans do we need?
After we have received all documents from you, ie the site plan, the building regulations, the sewage plan, and much more, we begin with the commissioning of the complete creation of the construction project documents, also called the “preliminary stage for the construction application”. This includes the preliminary planning according to the guidelines of the development plan, the check of the feasible development (possibly with an on-site appointment) with the creation of all floor plans including dimensions, the creation of the sectional drawings, the building views, the drawing of the building in the site plan, the DIN calculation of cubature, living space, usable space, the list of construction costs and proof of personal contribution. These are all the necessary documents that your bank or building society requires to give a written loan confirmation.
Is there a fixed price at ECO BUILDING GROUP?
After a prospective buyer has decided on the ECO BUILDING GROUP, he signs a kit purchase contract for the services offered, of course also subject to the building permit or the financing. After the “ink is dry”, the future client receives an order confirmation and a fixed price for all agreed services in the amount of 12 months, starting from the order date. The advantage for the building owner, he avoids upcoming price increases and can count on fixed costs.
How do I get the house turnkey?
Architects and civil engineers choose a safe and inexpensive way for the builders, the tender for the successor works. After completion of the building application documents, statics and proof of thermal insulation, the trades are tendered individually on site. This means that companies can use the construction documents to obtain relevant offers, compare them with one another and, after checking, place the order directly with the relevant craft company. This is the simplest and most economical way. Our tip: Either you let your planners and site managers give you business contacts from good craftsmen, or you take a look around your new building area, take pictures of addresses of construction signs, billboards or company cars.
What is a soil survey?
The soil survey is a common, albeit unsuitable, term for the “geotechnical report” of an expert in geotechnical engineering , which reports the results of the investigation and investigation of the ground and groundwater conditions of a planning area, as well as their assessment with regard to the solution of a constructional task according to the state of the art Technology contains, including information on the nature of the soil found there . Since 2008 , a geotechnical report has been required in Germany as a basis for planning and realizing a building project (Eurocode7). Planners and structural engineers need to plan buildings and engineering structuresprecise statements about the load-bearing capacity of the soil in order to dimension the foundation (floor slab) and to plan the implementation of the construction work (excavation pit, groundwater conservation, sealing, effects on the environment, etc.). The more appropriate term is therefore “building site and foundation report”.
Where can I find information material about the Eco building Group system?
We have provided all information for interested parties on our website. At www.ecobuilding.group you will find all the necessary details about the method of working, the advantages, the workmanship and all the technical values that you as the future owner should know as initial information.
How do I get technical documents for my architect or structural engineer?
We have put together a large file as an upload link for your architect, civil engineer or structural engineer. This file contains documents relating to all technical details such as dimensions of the Neopor® formwork blocks, technical properties of the elements, processing details, the technical approval (ETA – European Technical Approval) and a sample statics for your structural engineer. Simply write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and request the data. We will send you an upload link with which you can receive all files.
Where can I order a catalog?
You can find the Eco building GROUP catalog on our website under Catalog Service as a download file and as a PDF. At the same time, we have provided an info brochure from BASF as a download file. This also informs you about the ingenious raw material Neopor®, which also forms the basis for our formwork block. To preserve and improve our environment, we have not printed brochures for many years, which not only saves us a lot of costs, but does not burden our customers due to senseless printing and postage costs. This has a positive response from everyone.
What are the advantages of the Eco Building Group construction system?
- 30% savings in construction costs
- 50-90% savings in heating costs from low-energy to passive houses

What does U-value mean?
The heat transfer coefficient, also called the U-value, is a measure of the heat transfer from one fluid (a gas or a liquid) through a solid body (such as a wall) into a second fluid due to a temperature difference between the fluids. In the case of a flat wall, it indicates the heat flow (thermal energy per time) per surface of the wall and per Kelvin temperature difference between the two fluids. Its SI unit is therefore W / (m² · K). The heat transfer coefficient is a specific characteristic value of a component . It is mainly determined by the thermal conductivity and thickness of the materials used, but also by the heat radiationand convection on the surfaces.
The lower the heat transfer coefficient (= the higher the heat transfer resistance), the better the thermal insulation property.
U-value for the 35 cm ECO BUILDING GROUP element = 0.15 W (low-energy house)
U-value for the 45 cm ECO BUILDING GROUP element = 0.10 W (suitable for passive houses)
How do I get an offer?
Thats is quite easy. You send us an email with your PDF files, which are necessary for a reasonable mass and price determination. We need dimensioned floor plans as preliminary planning or dimensioned sketches, if possible on a scale of 1: 100, all house views and a dimensioned sectional drawing. Please send these documents by email to: email@example.com stating your full contact details, your place of construction, state, etc. If everything is complete, you should receive a corresponding offer from EBG within 3-5 working days . If you have any questions, we will send you an email or give you a call.
How does ECO BUILDING GROUP support me with the structural work?
We don’t leave anyone alone. As a rule, our construction supervisor (on request, when creating the thermal floor panel) starts work with the start of construction and material delivery, explains the first steps, discusses all the details, creates the first rows with you, shows you how to use our straightening and assembly supports supports you on a daily basis when building the shell, if necessary during the laying of the ceiling and / or reinforcement. You can book care in individual sections whenever you need support. This ensures rapid construction progress and professional support combined with many years of know-how.
What is a pre-construction request?
There are legally binding development plans in construction areas. Where there are no fixed regulations, e.g. in old town centers, in outside areas, old stock or vacant lots, after property divisions and new measurements, there may be building limits, but no sewer, electricity, water or sewage connections and also no legally binding development plan. In order to bring the construction project into an approval phase, your planner creates the documents for a pre-construction request with construction drawings, views and section, distance plans, living and usable space calculations, parking space verifications and much more
If the authority approves the planned development in writing or with a few conditions, you have the “green light” for submitting your complete building application. If you receive a rejection, the struggle continues, possibly with compromises, or in the worst case, the planned development is irrevocably rejected. Here the performance of your architect is required and sometimes a little perseverance.
